This 12” round subwoofer delivers 400 watts of RMS power and a max rating of 1200 watts. The polypropylene cone woofer ensures tight bass, while the urethane foam surround facilitates peak excursion and provides added durability for better bass performance. The double-stacked magnet is used to create a linear motor with enhanced peak excursion for optimum bass output. The dragon spider design enables the center of the subwoofer to withstand more stress when being played. These subs will produce a deep bass sound and the extended excursion will allow the subwoofer to handle low frequencies without ruining the cone. This particular subwoofer has spring post terminal assembly that will accept up to 8 Gauge wire, making it easy to connect to an amplifier. Be sure to find an amplifier that can provide enough power to the sub because it is a single voice coil sub that will run at a 4 ohm load. The sound clarity is amazing and since Kenwood doesn’t skimp on looks or quality, you know you will be getting a valuable product. In order to get the most out of your new subwoofer, we recommended getting a sealed or ported box. For sealed box, you will want to stay in the range of .75 – 1.75 cubic feet to get the most out of your sub. For a ported box, stay in the range of 1.0 – 2.0 cubic feet.
